Do Rats Carry Disease?
Rats can spread bacterial and viral diseases directly and indirectly. Indirectly, rats can spread diseases to people through ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes; directly, they can infect people when they touch contaminated materials and then their eyes, nose, or mouth.
